about

Very first album by Drem Bruinsma which came out on audiocassette in 1983 and was limited to 350 copies only. The mixmaster disappeared long ago, but fortunately all the tracks could be rescued and were digitally re-recorded from a 1/4" tape run-off, being the only source left. This implied a rather limited sound quality, but with enough effort poor dynamics and equalization were restored to acceptable levels. The whole idea to publish this old material was triggered through a project proposal of a label that specializes in 1980's re-issues, called Minimal Wave. It was supposed to be put out on vinyl in LP format, but. alas, after a long period of uncertainty it became finally clear that this is not going to happen. Domestica selected track 8 for its no-wave, rare 1980´s recordings compilation on vinyl though, which you can find here: www.domesticaorder.com/releases-domestic_landscape.html
But this here is a digital and downloadable format, completing the back catalogue and making these genuine and precursory analogue recordings available to a wider audience.
